Michele S. Gandy

A registered nurse by training, Michele Gandy is committed to quality healthcare and health education. She is past president of Workers Involved in New Growth (WINGS) for St. Joseph’s Hospital, the volunteer organization of St. Joseph’s Mercy Foundation. She was instrumental in bringing mammography services to local neighborhoods as she led fundraising efforts to purchase a mobile mammography unit. She is on the board, and is vice president, of the Auxiliary to the Atlanta Medical Association Inc. (AAMA), American Heart Association, Camp Twin Lakes and St. Joseph’s Mercy Care Services. Earlier in her career, Michele was assistant head nurse in the cardiovascular care unit at Grady Memorial Hospital.
