Skilled, Professional Healthcare in Your Own Home

Home healthcare is the perfect choice if you have been discharged from the hospital but still need healthcare professionals to help you to get back to your normal daily activities. It can be for older adults or people with disabilities who want to remain independent in their homes, as well as people of any age who are chronically or terminally-ill.

Today's home care encompasses a broad range of medical services from simple antibiotic injections to complex treatments that years ago were only performed in a hospital setting. Our nurses, physical, occupational and speech therapists and other experienced clinicians are here to help.  Visiting Nurse Health System cares for more than 16,000 patients each year in Metro Atlanta.

Home health services are available only with a physician’s order. Use the links to the left to access information on each area of our Home Health Services.

Affordable, Quality Care
We accept Medicare, Medicaid and most insurance plans.  As a community nonprofit, our mission is to care for everyone regardless of age, race, diagnosis or the ability to pay.  To the extent that charitable funds are available, no patient who is eligible for services will be turned away.

If you believe you, a friend or family member would benefit from home healthcare, talk to your doctor and then call the Visiting Nurse Health System’s Customer Service number at: 770-454-0900.

Georgia Gets a Second Chance

Visiting Nurse Health System physical therapist Angie Foster is one of the primary reasons Georgia recovered so well from brain surgery. “I knew I was going to like Angie right away,” Georgia says. “She was very positive. I liked that.”
